Foundation of a National Resuscitation Committee in Uganda<\/h1>\n

In the run-up to the 2024 Congress of the European Resuscitation Council in Athens from 31.10.-02.11.2024, the formation of a Ugandan Resuscitation Council was initiated, which will enable the integration of resuscitation standards into national health policy, the daily routine of emergency services and curricula. To this end, the interim leadership of the Uganda National Resuscitation Committee (UNRC) attended the congress and was able to hold good and important discussions with the leadership team and various members of the ERC. Goal<\/h2>\n

The aim is to establish a Uganda National Resuscitation Committee (UNRC) and link it to the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). The Association of Ambulance Professionals Uganda (AAPU) training center currently offers the certified course formats Advanced Life Support (ALS), European Pediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) and Newborn Life Support (NLS) as well as other low-threshold course programs in Uganda. The UNRC is intended to standardize the course standards in the country. This will make it possible for the UNRC to receive one of the five ERC seats awarded to non-European countries. <\/p>\n
